Τὸ περιοδικὸ καὶ ἡ ἱστορία του
Τὸ περιοδικὸ Εὔτυπον ἦταν τὸ κύριο μέσο ἐπικοινωνίας τοῦ Συλλόγου ΕΦΤ μὲ τὰ μέλη καὶ τοὺς φίλους του. Κυκλοφόρησε γιὰ πρώτη φορὰ τὸν Ὀκτώβριο τοῦ 1998, μὲ τὶς εὐλογίες τοῦ «μέγα ἀρχιΤεΧνίτη» Ντόναλτ Κανοὺθ καὶ ἐξώφυλλο σχεδιασμένο ἀπὸ τὴν ἀρχιτεκτόνισσα Λέτα Παππᾶ. Ἀπὸ τὸν Ἀπρίλιο τοῦ 2000 (τεῦχος 4) καὶ μέχρι τὸν Ἀπρίλιο τοῦ 2004 (τεῦχος 11–12), τὸ Εὔτυπον κυκλοφόρησε ὡς ἔκδοση τοῦ Δημοκριτείου Πανεπιστημίου Θράκης σὲ συνεργασία μὲ τὸν Σύλλογο ΕΦΤ καὶ μὲ αρχισυντάκτη τὸν Βασίλειο Παπαδόπουλο. Κατόπιν, τὸ Εὔτυπον κυκλοφόρησε μὲ τὴν ἀποκλειστικὴ εὐθύνη τοῦ Συλλόγου ΕΦΤ καὶ μὲ ἐπιτροπὴ σύνταξης τοὺς Ἀπόστολο Συρόπουλο, Γιάννη Δημάκο καὶ Δημήτριο Α. Φιλίππου. Τὸ περιοδικὸ ἔπαψε νὰ κυκλοφορεῖ τὸ 2018.
Τὸ Εὔτυπον ἀποτέλεσε οὐσιαστικὰ μία προσπάθεια ἐνημέρωσης τοῦ ἑλληνικοῦ καὶ τοῦ διεθνοῦς κοινοῦ σὲ θέματα σχετικὰ μὲ τὸ TeX, τὴν ψηφιακὴ τυπογραφία ἐν γένει, τὸν λογοτεχνικὸ προγραμματισμὸ καὶ τὶς γραμματοσειρὲς κάθε μορφῆς. Ἡ κυκλοφορία του ἦταν ἑξαμηνιαία, ἀλλὰ λόγῳ δυσχαιρειῶν, τὸ περιοδικὸ κυκλοφόρησε καὶ σὲ διπλὰ ἢ πολλαπλὰ τεύχη.
Ἀρχεῖο
Τὸ Εὔτυπον διατίθεται δωρεὰν σὲ ἠλεκτρονικὴ μορφή μέσῳ τοῦ Διαδικτύου (ἀρχεῖο τευχῶν σὲ μορφὴ PDF). Ἐκτυπώθηκε ἐπίσης σὲ περιορισμένο ἀριθμὸ ἀντιτύπων ποὺ διανεμήθηκαν στὰ οἰκονομικῶς ἐντάξει μέλη τοῦ Συλλόγου ΕΦΤ, στοὺς συγγραφεῖς ἄρθρων καὶ σὲ ὁρισμένες δημόσιες βιβλιοθήκες τῆς Ἑλλάδας (κυρίως στὴν Ἐθνικὴ Βιβλιοθήκη τῆς Ἑλλάδος).

The journal and its history
The journal Eutypon (pronounced in Greek as "Eftipon", and rather erroneously written in the past as "Eutupon") was the main communication forum between GTF and its members and friends. Its first issue came out in October 1998, with the blessing of the "Grand TeX Master" Donald E. Knuth and a front cover designed by the architect Leta Pappa. From April 2000 (issue 4) until April 2004 (issue 11–12), Eutypon was published by the Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with the Greek TeX Friends (GTF) Group, and with Prof. Basil Papadopoulos as its editor-in-chief. Then, Eutypon was published under the sole responsibility of GTF, with an Editorial Committee made of Apostolos Syropoulos, Ioannis Dimakos and Dimitrios Filippou. The publication of Eutypon ceased in 2018.
The publication of Eutypon was essentially an attempt to inform the Greek and the international community about areas such as TeX, digital typography in general, literate programming, and font design and usage in any form. The journal was published twice a year but due to some difficulties, it was also published in double or multiple issues.
Archives
Eutypon is available for free in electronic form through Internet (archive of issues in PDF format). It was also circulated in print in a limited number of copies, which were sent to GTF members who have paid their fees, to authors of articles and to few public libraries in Greece (most notably, the National Library of Greece).
